Life is a journey of discovering who you are: what drives you, what is important to you, what the integrity is that you have set for yourself. If I don't know these things, how can I move forward and progress? This is not to say I shall ever know myself all the way through, however I am the one who will always know myself best. I want to increase my self awareness, delve into my depths, and find the core being of my soul. Ambitious, yes. But surely not impossible.
So here I am, inspired yet unmotivated. That is a difficult place to be. But sometimes, it's important to push ourselves, push the expectations we have, and find that we can overcome what we formerly thought we could not. Embrace what is hard, and I believe I will become stronger and more alive.
I'm not here to write, as the traditional blog might require. I'm here to share art. My inspiration is in the form of collage, something that I have not really tried prior to this but that I find would be an interesting way to express my thoughts (and not end up being long winded). Short and sweet, but I hope compelling to think.
And finally as a simple tidbit of my inspiration: a poem that has found a way into my emotions, into my thoughts, and into what I'm working through in my soul.
Nothing gold can stay
Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to greif,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
